Title: Volunteer Coordinator / Administrative Assistant
Reports To: President & CEO
General Description:
Provides support for the mission of The Hospitality House of Tulsa by overseeing volunteer scheduling and programs, assisting with guest relations, guest support services and performing administrative tasks.
Education / Work Experience Requirements
· Preferred 2 years of completed college courses from accredited college or university.
· Type of course work to include Business Administration, General Business, etc.
· Project and People Management experience
· Customer Service experience
· Computer Skills
· Non-profit or healthcare experience a plus
Other Requirements
- Must have strong administrative and communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Computer skills which include Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Windows. Database and internet knowledge helpful
Schedule:
Full-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

"A Night of Hospitality"
On Thursday, December 4th , Hospitality House Volunteers delivered 300 “waiting room survival kits” to families in the waiting rooms of all the Tulsa hospitals.
These kits contained:
Bottled Water, Sugar free gum, Breakfast bars, Peppermints, Soup in Hand,
Peanut butter crackers, Pens, Crayons, Children’s books, Activity Books,
Encouraging reading material/novels, Toothbrushes,
lap size blankets, Neck Roll Pillows, Travel Size Wet ones

We also like to thank the employees and volunteers from the following participating hospitals for helping us make this night more comfortable for families in their waiting rooms.

The Hospitality House Of Tulsa Celebrates 2nd Birthday

Hospitality House is celebrating 2 years of serving families in medical crisis
Hospitality House of Tulsa is celebrating 2 years of providing a ‘home away from home’ for families caring for loved ones in medical crisis. In these first 2 years, HHT has served over 450 families facing a medical crisis away from home. These families have traveled from all parts of Oklahoma and 24 states in the U.S. We are celebrating this milestone on Thursday, August 21st 2008 by hosting a “Birthday Breakfast” for the families that are currently staying with us.
You can help us celebrate this milestone by:
1) Dropping off 2items from our needs list. (You will find this list on the “ways to help” tab here on the website).
2) Making a cash donation of any denomination of 2. $2, $20, $200, $2000, $20,000, etc! (Please click on the “Donate Now” button on the left column).
3) Telling 2 people, who may have never heard, about Hospitality House of Tulsa and its mission!
4) Volunteering 2 hours at the House.
5) Or, share with us your creative way of celebrating our 2 year anniversary!

Hillcrest Donates Apt Complex to The Hospitality House of Tulsa

Hillcrest Medical Center is donating a 7-unit apartment complex to The Hospitality House of Tulsa (HHT) for family-centered lodging and support services for out-of-town family members of hospitalized patients.
The 7-unit apartment complex, located at 1135 S Victor Ave, Tulsa, OK, will include a washer, dryer and the Hospitality House will provide meals daily along with emotional and spiritual support. The Hospitality House will also have an office at the apartment site, which will be staffed to help guests.
HHT hopes to open the new facility in July of 2006.
